Nicola Temple, LMT Lic#MA60390112
I attended The West Coast College of Massage Therapy in British Columbia, Canada and completed my 2200 hour Registered Massage Therapy training in 1997. I am a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of BC (currently listed as ‘non-practicing’). Before moving to Seattle in 2013, I practiced in the Sea to Sky area of Whistler/Pemberton where I had a mobile massage practice and also worked in spas and medical massage clinics. Treating patients from all over the world with different injuries and conditions has allowed me to experience a variety of conditions and increased my belief that we have an incredible capacity to heal.
I am trained in many modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, medical massage, integrated fascial therapy, visceral, craniosacral, and many more. I have 28 years of experience working with conditions such as injury/post surgical rehabilitation, motor vehicle accidents , pre/post natal, chronic pain, oncology and athlete populations. I am always interested in expanding my knowledge base through continuing education and enjoy delving into the latest research. My interest in pain science has helped to expand my awareness of our bodies’ tendency to protect itself which can sometimes continue cycles of pain. In November of 2021 I completed the 3 year Somatic Experiencing™ trauma therapy training.
Some of my post grad courses include:
